I completed an MA in Drawing in July 2008, at Camberwell College of Art, London, during which I made monochrome drawings of the surface waters of the Thames, endeavouring to capture the shifting patterns of light. Photos taken from a water-level perspective while kayaking and walking along the river provided source material, and were also made into a book to accompany the much larger drawings.
The project continues, and I have also returned to making drawings based on images of the west coast of Canada, where I spend my summers.
I am an active member of SLWA, established June 2008. I am currently assisting in the production of a series of Professional Development talks for members, and in planning and preparing our group show at Bankside Gallery, May 2010. SLWA is exhibiting at the Dulwich Library for the month of March, our 3rd group show at the library and second for Celebrating Women Artists' month. Work by our 100 members can be seen on www.southlondonwomenartists.co.uk
